I hear you, because I've been exactly where you are...

I remember waking up constantly with our first daughter and looking at my husband and saying “We are never sleeping again, are we?” I would rock her multiple times during the night just hoping that she would sleep for at least a few hours in a row.

Hi, I am Samantha Rickard, a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and Family Nurse Practitioner, based in Florence, Alabama. I have over 13 years of medical experience, initially as a registered nurse for 8 years and then as a Family Nurse Practitioner for 5 years specializing in Neurology. I am married to my best friend and am a proud mom to two beautiful girls. Needless to say, I completely understand the rollercoaster of parenthood, juggling sleep deprivation, and trying to actually still live life and live it well.

Two and a half years ago I was completely exhausted and so ready for our daughter to start sleeping through the night. I quickly wondered how long is this season going to last.

After doing a lot of research, I found a gentle, personalized sleep approach that worked for our family and our daughter. It made all the difference in her life and ours. That was the moment I knew I wanted to help other parents find the same thing through unique, personalized, simple, and supportive solutions that actually work.

Everything you want to know before our call

What age do you work with?

I work with expectant moms and also babies/children from newborn through age 5. Different methods apply at different ages, which is why everything I do is tailored to your child specifically.

Do you use cry-it-out methods?

I do not use cry-it-out methods as you really wouldn't need my help with that. I provide a wide range of approaches, from fully hands-on gentle methods to more structured techniques. Tears are often inevitable when changing a child's routine, but I will never ask you to let your child cry until they are so exhausted that they fall asleep. We'll talk through all of the options and decide together what best fits your family's values and your baby's temperament.

How long does sleep training take?

It is different for every child. Most families start seeing real results within 1–2 weeks. Some babies catch on quicker and some take a little longer. This is often depending on age, habits, and the approach we choose. I'll give you realistic expectations on your free call, no false promises here.

Plans always need adjusting as you go, that's completely normal, and it's exactly why ongoing support is built into every package. I'm with you through the whole process, troubleshooting and adapting as we see how your baby responds.

What happens after I pay?

I’ll send you a sleep assessment questionnaire to gather everything I need to create your personalized sleep plan, along with a link to book your first consultation call so we can get started.
